Monica R. serves as the Head of Pedagogy and Arts Department at Shanghai United International School since August 2017, playing a pivotal role in providing high-quality education to a diverse student body. In addition to this position, Monica R. has been a Founding Music Teacher and Grade Team Lead at PAVE Academy Charter School since August 2011. As a musician and songwriter under the name Monica Lionheart, Monica released the album "Missed Connections" in 2016, following the success of their debut album "Indian Summer." Monica R.'s teaching career includes roles at various elementary schools, where responsibilities ranged from developing instructional materials to assessing student abilities, complemented by a rich educational background, including a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership from the University of the Cumberlands and advanced degrees from New York University and Berklee College of Music.
