Amit Tomar

Amit Tomar is a seasoned technology leader with extensive experience in engineering and data-driven solutions across various companies. Currently serving as the Director of Engineering at Paytm since October 2023, Amit has led an AI-driven transformation that enhanced development workflows, achieving significant improvements in development velocity and cost efficiency. Previously, Amit co-founded a Stealth Startup and held the position of Senior Architect at VerSe Innovation, where the design and implementation of advanced recommendation capabilities for data scientists were key achievements. Amit's prior roles include critical engineering and architectural positions at Societe Generale Global Solution Centre, Nimbuzz Messenger, One97 Communications Limited, and Sapient, showcasing a strong foundation in data engineering, big data, and software architecture. Amit holds a Master of Computer Applications from Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University and a Bachelor of Science from CCS University.
