Daniel Sparks

Daniel Sparks is an experienced technology leader currently serving as Vice President at PDT Partners since May 2024. Prior to this role, Daniel spent over five years at Waymo, advancing through various positions, including Staff SWE/Tech Lead Manager, focusing on planner reasoning for lane changes and merges, as well as motion planning algorithms. Daniel's earlier career includes positions at Google and Clever Inc., where skills in NLP, machine learning, and distributed systems were developed. Daniel began academic endeavors as a Graduate Student Instructor in Mathematics at the University of California, Berkeley, while also pursuing a Ph.D. in Mathematics, ultimately achieving a Bachelor of Arts in the same field from the same institution.
