Jared Yarnall-Schane

Jared Yarnall-Schane is an experienced professional in innovation and entrepreneurship with a diverse background in technology transfer, sustainability, and education. Currently serving as an Alliance Officer at Penn State University since December 2024, Jared focuses on building partnerships to commercialize university-developed inventions. As Co-Owner of Singing Onstage since August 2022, Jared is involved in a musical theatre program for children in Central Pennsylvania. Previously, Jared held the position of Director of Innovation at the Biomimicry Institute, promoting nature-inspired solutions for sustainability challenges. Prior roles include Founder & Consultant at Startup Guts, where Jared created resources for early-stage entrepreneurs, and Program Director at Thought For Food, directing global initiatives to support young innovators in food security. Jared also co-founded GreenTowers, which focused on innovative agricultural designs. Educational credentials include a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Penn State University and an Executive Certificate in Social Impact Strategy from the University of Pennsylvania.
