Sophie Jabes

Sophie Jabes is a Research Associate at The Pew Charitable Trusts since May 2023, following an internship in Environmental Safety at the USDA Agricultural Research Service from September 2021 to May 2023. Sophie has served as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Maryland for various environmental courses, alongside conducting research on urbanization's impact on wildlife and ecosystems. Additional experience includes a Policy and Government Affairs internship at the World Wildlife Fund and a Wildlife Clinic Technician role at Second Chance Wildlife Center-Maryland. Sophie holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science and Policy from the University of Maryland, where studies were pursued from September 2019 to May 2023, and graduated from Quince Orchard High School in May 2019.
