Michalis Michaelides currently serves as the Head of Research at PhysicsX, overseeing research and development efforts focused on modelling physical systems, particularly in complex geometries and physics-informed models. Previously, Michalis held roles as Principal Researcher in Data Science, Lead Data Scientist at QuantumBlack, and Senior Data Scientist, where bespoke modelling solutions and statistical models were developed for various sectors, including pharmaceuticals and telecommunications. Early career experience includes serving as an Infantry Soldier in the National Guard of Cyprus and interning at Theova Technologies Ltd. Michalis holds a Ph.D. in Informatics from The University of Edinburgh, a Master's in Machine Learning from UCL, and a Bachelor's in Physics with Theoretical Physics from Imperial College London.
