Vanita Uppada

Vanita Uppada is a highly experienced scientific professional with a robust background in metabolic engineering and biotechnology. Currently serving as Scientific Director at Phyx44 Labs since April 2021, Vanita has also held various positions within the company, including Staff Scientific Manager, Senior Principal Scientist, and Principal Scientist. Prior experience includes co-founding SciPen, a scientific writing startup, and working as a freelance scientific editor from June 2020 to February 2023. Vanita's academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Metabolic Engineering and a Master of Science in Biotechnology from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, along with a Bachelor of Science from Andhra University. Additional roles include serving as a DST Women Scientist at the University of Hyderabad and a Postdoctoral Researcher at Tsinghua University, among other academic positions.
