Clarke Becker has extensive experience in workforce development and economic initiatives in Colorado. Currently serving as the One Stop Operator at Pikes Peak Workforce Center since March 2023, Clarke Becker supports workforce and economic development for El Paso and Teller Counties. For over a decade, Clarke Becker has held the position of Director of the Colorado Rural Workforce Consortium, overseeing eleven workforce regions across fifty-two Colorado counties. Prior roles include Director of Workforce Development Programs for the Colorado Rural Development Council and Executive Director of the Teller County Economic Development Council. Clarke Becker's leadership experience extends to serving as Past Chairman of the Board for the Economic Development Council of Colorado and includes a tenure as County Commissioner for Teller County. Clarke Becker holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from Baker University.

The Pikes Peak Workforce Center is an American Job Center serving El Paso and Teller counties that connects vital businesses with work-ready job seekers and employer-driven services. Last year, we served more than 39,000 clients including more than 10,000 veterans and over 1,000 young adults. We provide no-cost job seeker services from resume assistance, interview training, computer skills training and more. Clients range from entry-level to professional; include youth, adults, people returning to the workforce, underemployed and those with barriers to employment. Veterans always receive priority service. In support of regional employers, we host tailored, no-cost recruitment and hiring events including candidate sourcing, group and individual pre-employment assessments, provide a job database of searchable candidate profiles and more.
