Lilian Lee has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies. Lilian is currently employed by PingCAP as the Head of Documentation since January 2022. Prior to this role, they served as the Content Strategist and Content Strategy Team Leader at PingCAP from July 2020 to December 2021.

Before joining PingCAP, Lilian worked at Microsoft as an IT Pro Social Administrator from July 2016 to July 2017. Lilian also gained experience at IBM as an Information Developer intern from July 2013 to June 2014.

During their time at PingCAP, Lilian also held the position of Technical Writer and Senior Technical Writer from August 2017 to July 2019.

Lilian Lee's education history begins with their bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature, English-Chinese Translation, and Writing from Sichuan International Studies University, which they completed from 2008 to 2012. Additionally, they obtained the Cambridge Business English Certificate Higher from the University of Cambridge ESOL Examinations in July 2011.

Afterwards, they pursued their Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) degree at Peking University from 2012 to 2016. During their master's program, they specialized in Technical Writing, Computer-Aided Translation, Localization, and Internationalization.

Lilian Lee also holds several certifications. In March 2012, they obtained the TEM-8 (Test for English Majors-Band 8) certification from the Steering Committee of Foreign Language Teaching in Colleges and Universities. In March 2014, they acquired the China Accreditation Test for Translators and Interpreters (CATTI) - Translator Level 2 certification awarded by the Beijing Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau. Additionally, they completed the Introduction to Communication Science course from Coursera in March 2014.
