Matt Burgoon has held a variety of positions in the technology industry since 1998. Matt began their career at MCI as a Network Engineer IV, responsible for Tier 4 support, BGP, OSPF and other routing protocol design, extensive validation of all new router firmware and configurations, firewall evaluation and design, and senior UNIX administration. In 1999, they moved to Knowledge Universe as a Systems Administrator. In 2000, they held simultaneous positions at 8x8, Inc. and Quaartz, Inc. as Director of QA and Integration and Systems Programmer, respectively. At 8x8, Inc., they created a full test environment that would qualify and benchmark all performance metrics as well as features under a production level load. At Quaartz, Inc., they were one of two engineers that build and managed the company's production service. In 2006, they joined mBlox, Inc. as Manager, Network Operation - Americas. Finally, in 2009, they became the VP of Technology Services at Pinger, Inc.

Matt Burgoon attended Marshall University from 1996 to 1997, where they studied Chemistry and Math. Matt also attended the University of California, Davis from 1993 to 1994, where they studied Chemistry and Math.
