David Michael has been active in the venture capital and life sciences industries since 2015. David is currently the Managing Partner at Anzu Partners, a venture capital firm focused on "the enabling technologies of tomorrow's industries." David also serves as a Board Director for a number of companies, including e-Zinc, InterVenn Biosciences, ImmunoScape, BioSkryb Genomics, Niron Magnetics, Inc., Terapore Technologies, Inc., and Pivotal Systems. In addition, they are a Board Director of NUBURU Inc., and a Professor of Practice at UC San Diego.
David Michael has an extensive educational background, beginning with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Harvard University from 1983 to 1987. David then pursued a Rotary Scholarship at the Chinese University of Hong Kong from 1989 to 1990, studying Chinese Studies. Afterwards, they received their Master of Business Administration from Stanford University from 1990 to 1992, where they specialized in leadership, technology, entrepreneurship, and was the recipient of the Arbuckle Award.
