George B. South III

George B. South III is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in restructuring and corporate law. Currently serving as Managing Director and Chief Legal Counsel for Restructuring at PJT Partners since June 2016, George has held significant roles at prestigious firms including DLA Piper LLP as a Partner from February 2010 to June 2016, and King & Spalding as a Partner from October 2002 to February 2010. Prior to these positions, George was a Partner at Fried Frank Harris Shriver & Jacobson from October 1995 to October 2002 and an Associate at Zalkin Rodin & Goodman from August 1991 to October 1995. An alumnus of Hofstra University, George earned a BA in 1988 and a JD with distinction from the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University between 1988 and 1991.
