Akshay Telang

Akshay Telang is an experienced technology and operations leader with a strong background in application support and data engineering. Currently serving as the Global Head of Application Support at Point72 since May 2022, Akshay has previously held senior roles at Nomura Americas Services LLC, including SVP positions overseeing instrument data, distribution, and reference data, as well as leading teams in FX and electronic trading technology. Recognized as the 2014 Nomura India Annual Star Performer, Akshay has extensive experience in team management, project execution, and operational excellence across global teams. Akshay’s career also includes roles in production support at Tech Mahindra, Infrasoft Technologies, and HCL Infosystems, complemented by academic qualifications in Information Technology and Commerce from prestigious institutions. Technical expertise encompasses C, UNIX, Shell Script, and SQL.
