Matt Phillips

Matt Phillips is an accomplished editorial leader with extensive experience in the travel content industry. Currently serving as the Head of Editorial & Internationalization at Polarsteps since June 2021, Matt oversees a dynamic in-house editorial team and manages localization efforts for key markets. Prior to this role, Matt spent over seven years at Lonely Planet in various capacities including Travel Writer, Commissioning Editor, and Digital Editor, contributing to numerous notable publications and managing significant editorial projects. Earlier in the career, Matt held the position of Lead Editor at Gecko Publishing Ltd and began in publishing at Lonely Planet as a Travel Writer. Matt holds a BSc in Geology from The University of British Columbia.
