Yancey Jones has a diverse work experience history in the mechanical and construction industries. Yancey began their career at Encompass Mechanical Systems in 1999 as a Senior Project Manager, where they worked until 2002. In 2000, they also worked at Encompass as a Senior Project Manager. In 2007, Yancey joined Polk Mechanical Company as a Vice President, providing leadership and oversight for the largest operating unit. Yancey then progressed to the role of Senior Vice President in 2014, before becoming the Chief Operating Officer in 2016. During their time at Polk Mechanical, Yancey's main focus was problem-solving and strategy execution. Additionally, in 2008, Yancey became a member of Vistage International.

Yancey Jones attended Texas A&M University from 1981 to 1987, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) with a specialization in Engineering and Construction.
