Daniel Oon

Daniel Oon currently serves as Head of DeFi at Polygon Labs, leading a team of five professionals to drive the strategic vision and growth of the DeFi ecosystem. Previously, Daniel held the same title at Algorand Foundation where a significant 27x growth in DeFi TVL was achieved. Daniel's experience also includes roles as Project Lead at TZ APAC, managing a diverse project portfolio, and as a Blockchain Specialist at Deloitte Consulting. Additionally, Daniel founded Cryptoeconomics Asia, focusing on blockchain research, and has a background in the Singapore Police Force handling cryptocurrency cases. Daniel holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University at Buffalo and a Technical Diploma in Marine Engineering from Singapore Polytechnic.
