Russell Rinaldi

Russell Rinaldi has a comprehensive work experience spanning several decades. In 1994, they began working as an OpenVMS Network & Systems Engineer & Consultant at Digital Equipment Corporation, where they were involved in the implementation of OpenVMS cloud services and operated a VMS cluster. In 1998, they became a FreeBSD Network & Systems Engineer Consultant, contributing to the FreeBSD community and working with embedded systems. From 2011 to 2012, Russell worked at Intel Corporation as an FCoE/SAN Validation Engineer, configuring fiber switches and storage appliances. Russell then joined PDX Technical Partners in 2012 as a Network Engineer, implementing AWS storage, firewalling, and provisioning AWS instances. Starting in 2018, they worked at Bigleaf Networks as a Network Support Specialist, handling SD-WAN solutions and coordinating asset provisioning. From 2019 to 2021, they took on the role of Network Support Engineer at Bigleaf Networks, conducting project management, product testing, and troubleshooting. As of 2021, they have been working as a Network Engineer II and Cloud Architect at TEC Equipment, responsible for network architecture, site reliability, and capacity planning. Recently, Russell began working at the Port of Portland as a Senior IT Network Engineer III.
