Manel Juan has a diverse work experience. Manel started their career in 1999 as a Senior Consultant at everis and held this role until 2004. From 2004 to 2011, they worked as a Computer Science Professor at the Generalitat de Catalunya. In 2006, they co-founded Selectia and served as the CEO until 2009. Manel then worked as a Senior Software Engineer at identitat :: from 2009 to 2011. From 2011 to 2014, they worked at Zimory as a Technical Director and later as a Software Architect. Manel served as the Chief Technology Officer at allpago international from 2014 to 2016 and at Ofertia from 2016 to 2017. From 2017 to 2022, they worked as a Computer Science Professor at the Generalitat de Catalunya. Currently, they hold the position of VP of Engineering at Prima Assicurazioni starting from 2022.
Manel Juan has a strong education background in computer science and artificial intelligence. Manel earned their MSc in Computer Science from Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) between 1992 and 1998. In 1997, they completed their Master Thesis in Computer Science at Università di Pisa. From 2004 to 2006, Manel pursued PhD Courses in Artificial Intelligence at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya. Additionally, they obtained certifications as a Certified ScrumMaster from ScrumAlliance in August 2012 and as a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) from ISACA in 2004.
