Mathijs van den Berg has a comprehensive work experience spanning from 2007 to the present. Mathijs is currently serving as the Head of Business Transformation at Principle Power since January 2022. Prior to this, they worked as the Commercial and Strategy Manager at Principle Power from April 2020 to December 2021. Before joining Principle Power, Mathijs worked at Baker Hughes as a Senior Business Operations Manager from October 2018 to April 2020. Mathijs also has experience as a Global Estimating Manager at Vopak from September 2016 to September 2018. Mathijs started their career at Cost Engineering as a Senior Cost Engineer from June 2012 to August 2016. Mathijs also founded and served as the Director of V.O.F. Prisma Pro Design from November 2006 to June 2012. Mathijs began their professional journey as an intern at O-I in February 2007, where they worked until June 2007.

Mathijs van den Berg completed their education in a chronological order. Mathijs first attended Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences from 2003 to 2007, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. Mathijs then pursued further studies at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam) from 2008 to 2011, earning a Master's degree in Business Administration. Lastly, from 2012 to 2014, Mathijs attended Hogeschool van Arnhem en Nijmegen (HAN), where they obtained a degree in Cost Engineering.
