Plam Mateev MLArch, MBA, PhD, is a seasoned professional in sports field performance and landscape architecture, currently serving as the Head and Senior Consultant at Point Surface Research Institute since November 2021. Plam is also the exclusive partner for ProPitch Ltd and Itri Corporation in Bulgaria, focusing on innovative pitch management and turf health solutions. In addition to these roles, Plam is a Visiting Professor at the National Sports Academy "Vassil Levski," emphasizing the importance of high-quality playing surfaces in football. Previous experience includes founding KOTA NULA and co-founding ORGANIC SOLUTIONS, both dedicated to sports field development and maintenance. Plam holds a PhD in sports turf injuries risk prevention, an MBA, and a Master of Landscape Architecture, complemented by a robust foundation in mathematics and computer sciences.

When used in conjunction with a pitch assessment protocol, it allows the user to monitor the performance of a pitch not only for agronomic properties but also for player surface interactions. This industry-leading app can be used by ground staff and consultants to assess any pitch against benchmark data collected from hundreds of pitches and thousands of tests, and all scored using the ProPitch star rating system. We aim for a 5-star pitch; the ProPitch app is a tool to achieve that.
