Amy Spade

Amy Spade currently serves as the Deputy Director of the FACES for the Future Coalition at the Public Health Institute, where efforts focus on expanding a proven model to diversify the medical workforce. Additionally, Spade contributes as the Vice Chair of the Measure G Parcel Tax Independent Citizens Oversight Committee for the Oakland Unified School District. Previous roles include Senior Director of Community Impact at the Jewish Community Federation and Endowment Fund, where grantmaking and departmental operations were directed, and Senior Program Officer at the Pacific Center for Human Growth. Spade has extensive experience in education and community impact, having worked with the United Way of Greater Los Angeles in various capacities, including Education Program Officer. Spade's background also includes significant roles in schools and educational organizations, including Kehillah Jewish High School and the Johns Hopkins University Center for Talented Youth Program. Educational qualifications include a BA in Creative Writing and Russian Language & Literature from the University of Michigan and an MFA in Creative Writing (Poetry) from the University of Houston.
