Alex Waugh, CPA, CMA has extensive work experience in finance and operations. They have held various roles in different companies since 2010.
Starting in 2010, Alex worked as a Procurement Data Analyst at Alcatel-Lucent for a few months.
In 2011, they joined Sobeys and held multiple positions including Product Master Clerk, Indirect Procurement Analyst, Retail Accountant, Senior Financial Analyst, Finance Manager - Sobeys Retail Accounting, and Finance Manager - Operations. They worked at Sobeys until 2018.
In 2018, Alex joined Walmart Canada as the AFM, DC Projects - Supply Chain Finance for a couple of months before becoming the Finance Manager for E-commerce until 2019.
Currently, Alex is working at Purolator Inc. as the Finance Manager - Operations since 2019. They have also held the positions of Senior Manager Finance Business Partner - Operations and Director - Operations Finance at the same company.
Alex Waugh obtained their Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a focus on Business from Trent University between 2008 and 2011. Prior to that, between 2006 and 2008, they attended Fanshawe College and obtained a degree in Business with a specialization in Marketing. Subsequently, in 2012, Alex completed the CMA Accelerated Program at CMA Ontario, where they studied accounting. Alex continued their education at CMA Ontario from 2012 to 2015, completing their Strategic Leadership Program in Management Accounting. In September 2014, Alex obtained additional certifications as a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) and Certified Management Accountant (CMA) from the Certified Management Accountants of Ontario (CMAO).
