Michael Mrejen

Michael Mrejen is a seasoned physicist with extensive experience in various fields of opto-electronics and photonics. Currently serving as a Senior Physicist at Q.ai since February 2022, Michael is engaged in groundbreaking projects. As the Independent Business Owner of Berkeley Photonics Consulting since September 2015, Michael provides expertise in multiple areas, including lasers, nanophotonics, and nonlinear optics. Previous roles include Staff Research Scientist at Tel Aviv University, Physicist at Bridge-AI, and Senior Physicist and Technology Lead at Cielo Inertial Solutions, where Michael developed an Integrated Photonics gyro. Michael's background includes a PhD in Applied Science and Technology from the University of California, Berkeley, an M.Sc. in Applied Physics from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Optical Engineering from the Technion.
