Dr. Daniel Schatz

Dr. Daniel Schatz serves as the Chief Information Security Officer at QIAGEN, responsible for global Cyber Security, Product Security, and Enterprise Risk Management programs since May 2019. Additionally, Dr. Schatz is an Advisory Group Member for the European Union Agency for Cybersecurity, contributing to discussions that shape the agency's annual work program. Previous roles include CISO positions at DAZN and Stats Perform, along with a tenure at Thomson Reuters as Director of Threat & Vulnerability Management. Dr. Schatz co-founded and directed Security B-Sides London from 2011 to 2013. Academic credentials include a Master of Laws in Information Technology and Law from Universität des Saarlandes, a Ph.D. from the University of East London, and a Master of Science in Information Security and Computer Forensics from the same institution.
