Jake Arkinstall, PhD, is a seasoned software engineer with a focus on quantum simulations and high-performance computing. Currently serving as Lead Software Engineer at Quantinuum, Jake began this role in December 2021. Previously, as Head of Software Engineering for Arrow at Cambridge Quantum from October 2017 to June 2024, Jake led the development and maintenance of automated low-latency trading systems. Academic credentials include a Doctor of Philosophy in Theoretical Physics from The University of Manchester and a Master’s degree in Theoretical Physics from Lancaster University, where Jake also completed undergraduate studies. Experience spans various roles, including a consultant position at Cambridge Quantum Computing and earlier programming roles at AS.Net and Storm - The Internet Phone Company.
