Peter Hinrich is currently working as the Teamlead Use Case team at Quantum Internet Alliance (QIA) since November 2021. Prior to this role, they held multiple positions at SURF since April 1996, including Relationship Manager Research & Innovation, Relationship Manager Research, Teamleader Advanced Network Usage and Innovation, and Community Manager Science. They also worked as a Post Doc at Leiden University from October 1995 to April 1996. Peter holds a degree in Theoretical Organic Chemistry from Leiden University and a degree in Physical Chemistry from the University of Amsterdam.

Quantum Internet Alliance (QIA)
Quantum Internet Alliance (QIA) is a consortium of 42 world-leading institutions working together to build a global Quantum Internet made in Europe. By combining QIA’s diverse interdisciplinary team, we will establish an innovative European platform for Quantum Internet development and build a full-stack prototype network that has the potential to become the first of its kind in the world. Led by QuTech, QIA consists of academic institutions, telecom operators, system integrators and quantum technology start-ups across nine (9) European countries. It is currently co-funded by the European Union’s Horizon Europe research and innovation programme under grant number 101102140.
