Matthew Richers is a Senior Staff Scientist at Quantum-Si, with previous experience as a Scientist III at Thermo Fisher Scientific, a Postdoctoral Fellow at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, and a Graduate Assistant at Rutgers University. With a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from Rutgers University and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from The College of New Jersey, Matthew has expertise in designing and synthesizing fluorescent dyes, nucleotides, and other molecules for genetic analysis products. Additionally, Matthew has led efforts in developing chemical probes for synaptic physiology and metal-free C-H functionalization processes for drug-like compound synthesis.
