Hugues Simard has been Quebecor's Chief Financial Officer since January 2019.
Having worked for Quebecor for nearly 20 years from 1998 to 2017, he held several key roles in various subsidiaries of the company. He was notably Senior Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer of Videotron from 2014 to 2017, and also held the roles of Senior Vice-President, Development and Strategy of Quebecor Media and Vice-President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer. financial management of Corporation Sun Media from 2007 to 2014. He is notably recognized for having created in 2009 the QMI Agency, an integrated press agency, as well as for having structured and implemented in 2007 QMI Sales, an integrated sales force for the whole company.
Prior to returning to Quebecor, Hugues Simard was Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Indigo Books & Music Inc. in Toronto, since June 2017.
He holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Applied Science and Engineering from the University of Toronto.
