Pedro Lopes, PhD has been working in the field of quantum computing since 2016. Pedro started as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Institut quantique - Universit\u00e9 de Sherbrooke in 2016. In 2018, they took on a role as Project Manager and Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Stewart Blusson Quantum Matter Institute. In 2019, they became a Quantum Computing Consultant at Physical Sciences Innovations Corporation. Most recently, in 2022, they began working as a Business Developer at QuEra Computing Inc.
Pedro Lopes obtained their Bachelor's degree in Theoretical and Mathematical Physics from Universidade Estadual de Campinas in 2010. Pedro then went on to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Physical Sciences from the same university, which they completed in 2016. During their doctoral studies, they also spent a year as an exchange PhD student at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 2012-2013, studying Physics.
