Materials Engineer at QuesTek Innovations

Clay Houser is a Lead Model and Application Specialist at Thermo-Calc Software since May 2024, bringing a strong background in materials science and engineering. Clay's previous experience includes a Metallurgy Internship at Scot Forge, where a research project on vanadium content in 4140 steel was designed to correlate mechanical properties with tempering temperature, alongside another project examining macro segregation in aluminum ingots. In 2011, Clay served as a Program Instructor for the IIT Boeing Scholars Academy, teaching STEM+ subjects and mentoring high school students. Earlier experience includes engineering internships at Signode Engineered Products-ITW, focusing on prototype machinery, and the Museum of Science and Industry, where science concepts were taught to diverse audiences.
