Helger Yntema

Helger Yntema has a robust background in molecular genetics, currently serving as the Head of Genome Diagnostics and Clinical Molecular Geneticist at Radboudumc since March 2008. Prior experience includes roles as a Clinical Molecular Geneticist in training and Postdoc at Radboud University Medical Centre Nijmegen from November 2001 to March 2008, where Helger focused on identifying genes associated with nonspecific X-linked mental retardation. As a PhD student at the same institution from 1996 to 2001, research centered on the molecular genetics of X-linked mental retardation. Earlier experience includes a position as a Junior Scientist at Medisch Spectrum Twente from May 1995 to March 1996. Helger Yntema earned a Master of Science degree in Biology from Radboud University between 1989 and 1995 and completed secondary education at Anton van Duinkerkencollege Veldhoven from 1983 to 1989.
