Paul Drews is a researcher at The AI Institute, having joined in September 2023. Previously, Paul served as a research scientist at Toyota Research Institute from 2019 to September 2023 and worked as a PhD student at Georgia Institute of Technology from 2013 to 2019, specializing in estimation, perception, and control for high-speed autonomous vehicles. Prior to academic pursuits, Paul was an engineer at Dynetics, Inc. from May 2008 to May 2013, focusing on UAV integration and design as well as satellite firmware. Paul holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Robotics from Georgia Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Missouri University of Science and Technology.
