Stephen Hart

Stephen Hart is a highly experienced roboticist currently working at RAI Institute since December 2023. With a robust background in robotics research, Stephen held the position of Senior Scientist at TRACLabs from October 2014 to November 2023 and served as a Senior Researcher at General Motors from November 2010 to October 2014, where notable contributions included leading behavior and planning for the NASA-JSC DARPA Robotics Challenge (DRC) Team and involvement with the NASA/GM Robonaut 2 project. Stephen's earlier roles encompass a post-doctoral researcher position at the Italian Institute of Technology focusing on developmental robotics and a PhD student at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where Stephen earned multiple degrees in computer science and robotics. Additional experience includes software engineering roles at iRobot, Raytheon, and SystemSoft.
