Urban Hakansson has over 25 years of experience in software engineering and DSP. Urban started their career as a DSP software engineer at Ericsson in 1995 and later worked at Sony Ericsson as a senior software engineer for five years. Urban served as a software contractor at Avtec Inc. in 2003 before joining Syntek Systems as a senior software engineer from 2008 to 2009. From there, Hakansson moved to Cognitive Radio Technologies, LLC, where they worked as a principal engineer from 2010 to 2013. Urban then joined Tecore Networks as a senior software engineer from 2013 to 2016. After that, they worked at Comtech Telecommunications Corp. as a senior computer software engineer from 2016 to 2018. Urban served as a DSP engineer at Department 13 from 2018 to 2020 before becoming a staff systems engineer at Collins Aerospace from 2020 to 2021. Currently, Urban Hakansson works as a DSP engineer at Rampart Communications since September 2021.
Urban Hakansson obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from Uppsala University from 1987 to 1991. Urban continued their education at the same university from 1992 to 1995, where they earned a Master of Science degree in Engineering Physics.
