Martin Potgieter

Martin Potgieter is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in investment and actuarial science. Currently, Martin serves as a Director at RMB - Rand Merchant Bank and is on sabbatical while also holding a position as a Member of Council at the Sustainable Finance Coalition since February 2023. Previously, Martin was the Co-head of Principal Investments at RMB and worked as a Senior Investment Consultant specializing in private equity at Watson Wyatt from January 2003 to February 2008. Earlier in the career, Martin served as an Actuary at Alexander Forbes from 1997 to 2002. Educational qualifications include a Fellowship in Actuarial Science from the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, a CFA fellowship from the CFA Institute, and a BCom in Actuarial Science from the University of Pretoria.
