Maryam Kiefer, MSW, currently serves as the Director of Public Policy at United Way of Greater Cleveland since December 2020, where responsibilities include developing and implementing anti-poverty public policy agendas and advocating for funding for health and human services. Previous roles include an Adjunct Instructor at Fordham University, Associate Director of Policy and Public Advocacy at The Coalition for Behavioral Health, and Director at the NYC Regional Planning Consortium with the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. Maryam also has experience at Catholic Charities Brooklyn and Queens and conducted research as a U.S. Fulbright Fellow in Jordan. Maryam holds a Master of Social Work from Hunter College and a Bachelor of Arts in Middle East Studies from Fordham University.
