Denis Vujicic

Denis Vujicic has extensive work experience in the software development industry. Denis is currently working at RateMyAgent as the Director of Engineering since September 2022. Prior to that, they held the position of Head of Engineering from July 2020 to September 2022, and Principal Technical Lead from February 2019 to July 2020.

Before joining RateMyAgent, Denis worked at PageUp as a Technical Lead from October 2015 to January 2019. In this role, they played a key role in splitting a monolithic .NET app into event-sourced microservices and continuously-delivered single-page applications.

Prior to PageUp, Denis worked at Fred IT Group. Denis joined the company in January 2008 as a Senior Software Developer and later became the Software Development Lead from April 2014 to October 2015. Denis also worked as an Infrastructure Architect (Secondment) from January 2014 to April 2014. At Fred IT, Denis led a high-performing agile development team and played a crucial role in building and designing retail business applications for the healthcare and pharmaceutical industry.

Before joining Fred IT, Denis worked at Editure as a Senior Software Engineer from September 2007 to January 2008 and as a Quality Assurance Lead from January 2007 to September 2007. Denis was responsible for team coordination, software development, and managing a team of testers.

Prior to Editure, Denis worked at MyInternet as a Software Engineer from June 2006 to January 2007 and as a Test Automation Engineer from January 2006 to July 2006. Denis contributed to the development of a multi-tiered eLearning delivery platform and implemented a performance and load testing strategy.

Denis also co-created and managed Extreme Internet Services, a start-up ISP, from March 2004 to December 2005. The business focused on providing dial-up and hosting services to micro-businesses.

Additionally, Denis worked as an Analyst Programmer (Consultant) at Cardinal Health from June 2004 to September 2004, where they were involved in designing and building a medical tablet formulation solution using ASP.NET technology.

Throughout their career, Denis has demonstrated expertise in software development, technical leadership, and project management across various industries and technologies.

Denis Vujicic pursued their education in the field of Computer Science. Denis obtained a Bachelor's degree from La Trobe University between 2002 and 2004. Denis further pursued an Honours year at La Trobe University in 2005. In addition to their formal education, Denis obtained various certifications. These certifications include Elastic's Elasticsearch Engineer I in April 2019, Microsoft's Certified Professional Developer (MCPD): Windows Developer .NET 4.0 in August 2012, Microsoft's Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) in .NET Framework 4 in October 2011, Microsoft's Certified IT Professional (MCITP) in Database Administrator 2008 in December 2010, and various certifications from Sumo Logic in October 2019. Denis also obtained the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in August 2020.
