George Grist

George Grist is a seasoned executive with extensive leadership experience in the media and publishing sectors. Currently serving as Deputy Chief Operating Officer at Reach plc, the largest commercial news publisher in the UK and Ireland, George oversees a wide range of operations, including revenue, distribution, and editorial processes, as well as managing profits and losses for Reach's US business. Previously, as Interim Managing Director for Reach US, George successfully launched and expanded four new digital news brands in the US market. In roles at Condé Nast from 2018 to 2022, George led transformation initiatives as Director of Transformation for Condé Nast Europe and identified new revenue opportunities as Strategy Director for Condé Nast Britain. George's earlier career includes significant positions at The Boston Consulting Group, WarnerMedia, the BBC, and the Department for Education. George holds a BA in Egyptology from the University of Cambridge and an MBA from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management.
