Thomas Hood

Thomas Hood is a seasoned professional in functional safety within the automotive and aviation sectors, currently serving as a Senior Functional Safety Manager at Real-Time Innovations (RTI) since November 2020. At RTI, the leading software framework company for autonomous systems, Thomas acts as a certification liaison and contributes to the development of intelligent distributed systems through RTI Connext®. Prior to this role, Thomas held the position of Functional Safety Manager at RTI and worked as a System Software Engineer at Belcan for a brief period. Thomas's extensive experience also includes a tenure as Principal Engineer at Verocel, Inc., where expertise in DO-178C and IEC61508 Certification was developed. Thomas Hood holds a degree from Lawrence University.
