Recurrent Energy
Chinedu Oputa currently serves as a Manager of Project Development at Recurrent Energy, a position held since December 2022. Prior experience includes roles in developer services at LevelTen Energy from August 2020 to January 2023 and as a project developer at First Solar from May 2019 to August 2020. Additionally, Chinedu contributed as an EDF Climate Corps Fellow at the Environmental Defense Fund in 2018 and as an energy project development consultant for the Texas Army National Guard. Earlier roles include an internship focusing on renewable energy at El Paso Electric Company and a research assistantship at The University of Texas at El Paso, where contributions included novel methods for assessing solar module reliability and studying asphalt material mechanics. Chinedu holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Texas at El Paso and a Master’s degree in Energy Systems Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
