Katie Zhang

Katie Zhang is a seasoned aerospace professional with extensive experience in satellite operations and engineering. Currently serving as a Sr. Orbit Operations Engineer at Reflect Orbital since July 2025, Katie previously held the position of System Engineer at Viasat Inc., where responsibilities included satellite capacity planning and performance analysis. Prior roles include Sr. Satellite Systems Engineer at Turion Space and various positions at Viasat Inc., where key contributions involved on-orbit engineering and operational support for the satellite fleet. Additionally, Katie worked at Iridium as an Associate Engineer - Satellite Flight Controller, focusing on real-time operations for the Iridium satellite constellation. Katie holds a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering and Mechanics from The University of Alabama.
