Gord Ryan

Gord Ryan is an accomplished transportation leader with extensive experience in public transit projects. Currently serving as the Director of Rapid Transit for the Region of Waterloo since 2017, Gord Ryan provides strategic leadership for the implementation of Light Rail Transit (LRT) initiatives, including the successful launch of LRT service on June 21, 2019, in partnership with GrandLinq. Additionally, Gord Ryan oversees the extension of the project to Cambridge. As Principal Consultant at KGR & Associates since June 2013, specialization includes governance models and operational management for various rail projects, including significant P3 initiatives. Prior experience includes roles as Area General Manager at Veolia Transportation and in operations management at CN and Ontario Northland. Educational credentials were obtained from York University and Pace University.
