Aprajit Desai

Aprajit Desai, PE, PMP, currently serves as Manager of Engineering Construction and Business Program Manager at RTD since September 2006. In these roles, Aprajit provides leadership and coordination for various projects within the Capital Programs department, managing interdepartmental teams of professionals. Aprajit has also acted as the Project Manager for the North Metro Stand Up efforts, overseeing all project aspects. Previous experience includes the role of Traffic Engineer, where Aprajit developed operational and maintenance cost analyses for assets and contributed to public-private partnership agreements for the N Line commuter rail. As a Senior Transportation Planner, Aprajit led travel forecasting initiatives for multiple FasTracks corridors. Prior experience as an Associate Transportation Planner at the Wichita Area Metropolitan Planning Organization involved data collection and travel demand modeling. Aprajit holds a Master's Degree in City Planning with a focus on Transportation Planning from The University of Texas at Arlington and a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, specializing in Highway Design from the Center for Environmental Planning and Technology.
