Clayton Chu is a seasoned aerospace professional with extensive experience in avionics manufacturing, testing, and operations. Currently serving as Senior Manager of Avionics Manufacturing, Test, and Operations at Relativity Space since June 2022, Clayton previously held the position of Senior Manager for Controls Test & Integration at Rivian from April 2021 to June 2022. Prior to that, a significant tenure at Virgin Orbit from July 2016 to April 2021 included roles such as Manager of Ground Segment and Lead Instrumentation Engineer. Earlier experience at Boeing from August 2012 to July 2016 involved various engineering positions focused on flight controls and test instrumentation. Clayton began involvement in aerospace as Avionics Team Lead for the UW Society of Advanced Rocket Propulsion in 2011. Academically, Clayton earned a Master of Science in Aeronautics & Astronautics from the University of Washington and a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Arizona.
