Karthikeyan Narayanan

Karthikeyan Narayanan is a highly experienced researcher and academic currently serving as the Director at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute since September 2022. Prior to this role, Karthikeyan held the position of Research Assistant Professor at the University of Illinois Chicago from July 2020 to September 2022 and worked as a Researcher at West Virginia University from April 2017 to June 2020. Karthikeyan's extensive background includes significant contributions as a Senior Research Scientist at A*STAR, where work focused on stem cell differentiation, and as a Research Assistant Professor at the University of Illinois at Chicago, specializing in bone-teeth specific gene characterization. Additional experience includes roles as a Senior Research Specialist and Instructor, along with a post-doctoral fellowship at Academia Sinica, Taiwan, where research centered on DNA methylation in Drosophila. Karthikeyan holds a Ph.D. and an M.Phil. in Biochemistry from the University of Hyderabad, earned between 1990 and 1995.
