Dan Liao is a seasoned statistician with extensive experience in survey methodology and data analysis. Currently serving as a Senior Research Statistician and Program Director at RTI International since August 2010, Dan specializes in multiphase surveys, large-scale longitudinal studies, and various statistical methods including sampling design and data quality assessment. Additionally, Dan holds a position as Adjunct Faculty at Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health, where graduate-level biostatistics courses are taught. Dan's previous roles include research and teaching assistantships at the University of Maryland, as well as intern positions at the National Center for Health Statistics and the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality. Dan holds a PhD in Survey Methodology from the University of Maryland, an MS in Survey Research and Methods/Statistics from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and a BS in Mathematics and Applied Mathematics from Beijing Normal University.
