Tammy Forrester has extensive experience in contracts and grants management. Tammy started their career at IntraHealth International in 1998, where they served as the Senior Contracts and Grants Manager responsible for negotiating and signing various types of awards. In 2010, they joined RTI International as the Senior Manager of International Grants and Procurement, overseeing a team and supporting international project teams in procurement functions. Tammy later took on roles such as Senior Grants Manager and Director of International Grants, Procurement & Subcontracts, leading globally disbursed teams and providing training in USAID policy and procedures. In their current role at RTI International as the Senior Director of Contracts and International Grants, Procurement & Subcontracts, they lead a team that supports RTI's core business funded primarily by USAID and other international aid donors.
Tammy Forrester holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Speech Communications and Political Science from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. In 2010, they obtained a Certified Federal Contract Manager (CFCM) certification from the National Contract Management Association.
