Deryck Nel has extensive work experience in various finance roles. Deryck started their career as a Purchase Ledger Assistant at Denton Hall Solicitors in 1999. Deryck then worked as an Accountant at Optimal Information Systems for a short period in 2000. Later that year, they joined CSC and held roles such as Management Accountant, Management Accounts Team Leader, Service Provider Finance Manager, and Account Finance Manager until 2008. In 2008, they joined Reutech Radar Systems as a CFO and continued in that role until 2010 when they moved to Reutech Mining as a CFO. Currently, they are working as a Director at Reutech Australia, starting from April 2019.
Deryck Nel has a strong educational background in management accounting. Deryck started their education at Stellenbosch University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Management Accounting in 1997. Deryck further pursued their academic journey at the same university and graduated with Honours in Management Accounting in 1998. Later, in 2003, Deryck joined The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and achieved the degree of Associate Chartered Management Accountant. Continuing their professional development, in 2011, they completed the Chartered Global Management Accountant program also offered by The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.

Reutech Radar Systems (RRS) was founded in 1987. Its radar capability has broadened significantly over the past 35 years with the local development and manufacture of a wide range of search and tracking radars for the South African National Defence Force and the security industry. The Movement and Surveying Radar for application in open-pit mines was designed and developed at the Stellenbosch facilities and is currently in use worldwide. With the company’s proven skills in mechanical engineering, new markets were entered recently with the development and supply of solar trackers for the renewable energy market.
