Sylwia Lasek has extensive experience in editorial technology and news reporting, with a current position as an Editorial Technology Specialist at Reuters News Agency since April 2014. In this role, Sylwia has also served as Sector Specialist for Headline News in Austria, Germany, and Switzerland, and previously worked as a Headline News Reporter in the same regions. Prior to joining Reuters, Sylwia was employed at Thomson Reuters from July 2011 to April 2014, where responsibilities included Level 1 Data Analyst and Data Analyst roles focused on Fundamentals in Latam and Iberia. Sylwia holds a Bachelor’s Degree in European Studies from Gdańsk University of Technology, complemented by an Erasmus Exchange Programme in Political Economy at Universidad de Cádiz, and a Master’s Degree in German Language, Literature, and Linguistics from the University of Gdansk.
