Jesse Stombaugh is a seasoned Senior Bioinformatics Scientist at Revvity since January 2021, specializing in developing NGS bioinformatic pipelines and performing analyses for gene modulation and editing experiments. Prior to this role, Jesse progressed from Bioinformatic Developer to Senior Bioinformatics Scientist at Horizon Discovery, where software tools for gene modulation and editing were developed, also leading the migration of bioinformatic pipelines to scalable solutions on Microsoft Azure. Earlier experience includes work at GE Healthcare and Thermo Fisher Scientific focused on RNA design for gene modulation, and as a Research Associate at the University of Colorado Boulder, where Jesse was the primary developer of the QIIME software for microbial community analysis. Jesse holds a PhD in Biology from Bowling Green State University, a Certificate in Bioinformatics and Proteomics/Genomics from The University of Toledo, an MS in Chemistry from Bowling Green State University, and a BS in Chemistry from Hillsdale College.
